YERETA COMPLEX: The Airmen’s Mutual Association (MUTAV) strengthens its commitment to Air Force personnel

As part of its efforts to bolster social and economic initiatives for airmen, the Airmen’s Mutual Association (MUTAV) inaugurated the YERETA complex on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Air Force Base 101 in Sénou.
The ceremony was presided over by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Brigadier General Alou Boï Diarra, and attended by several military officials.

Spanning an area of 1,452 m², the YERETA complex represents a new socio-economic facility for MUTAV. Fully funded through its own resources, the complex houses a bakery and pastry shop, a convenience store, a restaurant, a meeting room, a sales counter, an ATM, and technical areas.
Through this project, MUTAV aims to provide a concrete response to the daily needs of its members. The complex seeks to help combat the high cost of living by offering affordable products and services, while also fostering the creation of direct and indirect jobs.

Beyond its commercial aspect, the project is rooted in a spirit of solidarity and economic sovereignty. The revenue generated is intended for reinvestment in member benefits, particularly in the areas of healthcare, mutual aid, and mutualist services.
The complex also serves as a local hub for social interaction, designed to strengthen cohesion within the airmen community. In his remarks, Colonel-Major Souleymane Dembélé, Chairman of the Board of MUTAV, presented YERETA as a project addressing multiple objectives—specifically operational, social, health-related, economic, and cohesion-building goals. He emphasized that limiting travel outside the base also helps enhance personnel availability and security.

Presiding over the ceremony, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Brigadier General Alou Boï Diarra, commended and congratulated MUTAV on this initiative, while encouraging the organization to continue its efforts to improve the living and working conditions of air force personnel.

The ceremony featured a tour of the various areas within the YERETA complex, allowing guests to view the facilities and equipment, and concluded with a cocktail reception.
