On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the Citizenship Ambassadors organized a conference at the National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS), located at the Stade du 26 Mars, dedicated to the challenges of artificial intelligence.
Under the theme "Cultural and Creative Industries in the Age of AI: Opportunities, Professions, and Ethics," the event was led by Mr. Mamadou Bah, known as "Doc Bah," a multimedia designer and communications consultant.
The conference aimed to help young people better understand the changes brought about by artificial intelligence, while raising their awareness of the opportunities, challenges, and responsibilities associated with its development.
The event also provided a forum for discussion and reflection on the responsible and constructive use of artificial intelligence. Participants were encouraged to strengthen their digital skills to better leverage the new opportunities offered by technological advancements.
During his presentation, the communications consultant addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on several sectors, including education, communication, health, employment, and entrepreneurship. He also highlighted the prospects offered by this technology while drawing attention to the risks it may entail, such as misinformation, technological dependence, the protection of personal data, and changes in the job market.
"Faced with these transformations, young people appear as key players called upon to adopt these new tools," stated Mamadou Bah.
He also emphasized the need for young people not to passively accept technological transformations, but to embrace them as genuine drivers of innovation and development. For his part, the Director of the National Institute of Youth and Sports, Dr. Youssouf Karambe, emphasized the need for Malian youth to better understand the issues related to artificial intelligence and to master its uses. "Malian youth must strive not only to master AI, but also to better utilize it and try to sell AI-enhanced products," he added.
Through this conference, the Citizenship Ambassadors intend to contribute to a better understanding and adoption of technological transformations by Malian youth. Beyond mastering the tools, the challenge now lies in young people's ability to develop responsible, ethical, and innovative uses of artificial intelligence, in order to make it a true instrument for employment, entrepreneurship, and societal development.
